From a very quiet lane the gated private tarmac drive leads to a concrete/stone yard. Together with the main house there is a large timber double garage and stables block, a large brick built garage, another block built outbuilding and a large polytunnel.
The sun lounge has windows on three sides and is on the eastern side of the house. It has a vaulted ceiling, is very light and has underfloor heating.
From the sun lounge double doors lead to the kitchen – this is a converted milking parlour (work completed by us in 2007) and has a vaulted ceiling. It is very light and airy, has six opening roof lights, an island with an oil-fired Rayburn, double electric cooker, electric hob, double sink, ceramic tiles, underfloor heating and lots of storage. Double doors lead outside to the front of the house.
Off the kitchen is a utility room with plumbing for a washing machine, a sink and drainer, a walk-in storage cupboard at one end (containing the UV water filter) and a walk-in larder at the other end with lots of shelving including a marble cold shelf. There is a door to the yard and paved patio area.
The kitchen leads to the original part of the house. The lounge has a woodburner (multi-fuel) in a large fireplace, two south-facing windows, radiator and exposed wood features. This is a very warm and cosy room.
From the lounge there is access to another room which has a south-facing window and a radiator (we use it as an office).

The ground floor bathroom with a large walk-in shower, sink, WC, wall towel radiator, wall heater, underfloor heating and a storage space above…………
………….and what we call the office/library. This is the old kitchen. It has two windows, a radiator and lots of bookshelves. This room could be used as a large bedroom.

Bedroom 1 is on the south side and has a radiator, a walk-in wardrobe (lots of hanging space, shelving and a self-contained radiator) and two other built-in wardrobes (each with hanging space and shelving with large cupboards above each). There are two individual bed lights. We currently have a super kingsize bed in here.
Bedroom 2 is also on the south side and has a radiator and currently two single beds.
On the western side is the first floor bathroom – bath, separate large walk-in shower, sink, WC, wall towel radiator, wall heater and airing cupboard containing the hot water tank (heated by the Rayburn but also has an immersion heater).
Bedroom 3 has a large single window, a radiator and a large built-in wardrobe (with sliding doors and self-contained radiator). This room currently has a double bed.
There is double glazing throughout. All new electrical wiring/Cbs.
